For your introduction, you may say something along these lines: “Family, relatives, and guests – I greet you all a wonderful afternoon! It may not be traditional for the bride to speak on her wedding day, but then again, I thought it only right that I start married life by thanking the people who helped us get to this point. For one, thank you to all the people who supported our relationship right from the very start. Thank you to all of you who generously assisted us with the wedding preparations. Thank you to all of you who found the time to be here and to help us celebrate this wonderful moment.”
After giving your warm welcome and expressing your gratitude, you may deliver something along these lines: “A wedding is that magical moment when a couple is joined together in front of God, or even a legal authority. A wedding is when a woman bravely marks the start of married life.”
“Today is probably one of the happiest days of my life. Today, the fairy tale dream that I’ve had for so long finally became a reality. Today, I am a princess and I have found my prince charming. Today, the damsel in distress in me finally meets her knight in shining armor. Today, I am blessed to join my soul with the most loving, most patient, and most gentle man I know – my husband, my partner, my other half.”
“And so, dear husband, I thank you for loving me. Your gift of love has given me so much to hope for. Also, it has inspired me to be the best person that I can be. Thank you for giving me strength during the times that I felt weak. Thank you for supporting me and for always being there for me. For all of those things and more, I love you.”
